Read the minds of appliances in this point and click adventure

MentalRepairsInc is a semi 3D point and click adventure that puts you in control of Henrik Liaw, a machine psychiatrist. His job is to fix machines my reading their minds, using a strange psychic wrench device.

The idea is certainly odd, and this little adventure is certainly that. Nothing will surprise point and click fans about the controls - move around the rooms with clicks, and interact with the various objects you find to solve puzzles and move the story on.

Visually, the graphics are quite detailed, and some of of the psychic screens have quite an unusual look to them. The sound is a bit too minimal, and makes the game feel a bit cold, as you are more or less alone with the various machines you're trying to fix.

Some of the puzzles can take a bit of thought to get through, but the humor isn't really good enough to make you want to try too hard. The pace of the game is a bit slow, and despite the quirky idea behind it, the psychic element is just a mechanic for conversation based puzzles.

If you're aching for a point and click adventure, MentalRepairsInc has plenty of puzzles to keep you going, although the overall experience is a bit too dry.
